With the use of a TAD (Temporary Anchorage Device) we are able to treat patients using this relatively new technology to move teeth without using other teeth as leverage. We now place a simple TAD which is approximately the size of a small earring post, into the tissue/bone to be used as anchorage to move teeth comfortably, without the need to extract teeth in most cases. Instead of using other teeth as leverage we can use this small pin like device to allow us to push the necessary teeth back, correcting Class Two malocclusion, and creating space for severely crowded teeth with no room to erupt. In most cases it is used along side another appliance (distalizer or springs) to help us make our corrections.
Dr. Statler and her husband, Dr. David Prusakowski are Certified/skilled clinicians in the placement of Temporary Anchorage Devices. The TAD is simply placed in a couple of minutes, and easily removed when correction is accomplished. For the past 5 years we have been pioneers in this revolutionary technology, helping many of our patients to achieve near textbook orthodontic corrections. We are proud to always be on the cutting edge of technology in order to better serve our patients.
Below are just two of our many cases where TAD's were used to correct Class Two Malocclusion and Distalize (move back) the teeth to create space for permanent eruption of severely crowded teeth. Both cases were highly successful.

Very useful and essential for the remedies of tooth decay and its major concerns of toothache and jaw pain.In early age when you diagnose the jaws problem then you should concern a good dentist. If you will take it normal then it could be harmful for your mouth problem.Braces Pembroke Pines
